These favourite biscuits are even tastier with the addition of our Hazelnut Flour!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup plain flour
- 1/4 cup Davis Downs hazelnut flour
- 1 & 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup coconut
- 1/2 cup roasted chopped Davis Downs hazelnuts
- 125gm butter cubed
- 1/4 cup golden syrup
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
Method
Place the sifted flour in a bowl. Add the hazelnuts, sugars, coconut and rolled oats. Combine the butter, water and syrup in a small saucepan and heat to melt (or can do in microwave). Remove from the heat and stir in the baking soda. Add immediately to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined. Roll into balls and place on tray. Press down slightly and bake 15 - 20 mins at 180 degrees celsius until golden.
